Coverage and comparison scope (who we compare)
This page explains how FibreSwitch defines comparison coverage and why results can vary by address. We compare broadband deals rather than provide broadband, and availability is always postcode-specific. Use this page to understand who appears in results, why some providers might be missing, and how to report gaps.
Next step: check your postcode to see what is live at your address.

What "coverage" means on FibreSwitch
Coverage here means comparison coverage, not network build coverage. We only show deals that appear for your address, and results can change between streets and buildings in the same area.
FibreSwitch is a comparison service, not a broadband provider.
Who we include in results
- Providers with address-level availability checks.
- Consumer packages with clear terms and pricing.
- Deals that can be compared on like-for-like terms.
Availability may be checked using third-party tools and provider availability checkers where required.
Who may not appear, and why
- Providers without address-level availability data.
- Business-only products on consumer pages.
- Packages without clear pricing or terms that can be compared.
- Small local providers without comparable data may not appear.
We do not claim completeness. Results reflect what can be checked and compared for your address.
What to do if you cannot see a provider
- Run a fresh postcode check and select your exact address if prompted.
- Check the provider's own availability tool for your address.
- Contact FibreSwitch with evidence if you think a provider is missing.

Independent cross-checks
You can cross-check availability using the Ofcom broadband availability checker as an independent reference: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/broadband-coverage.
How we keep scope accurate
We review our comparison scope on a rolling basis and update pages when we identify changes or when users report gaps. If you spot a missing provider or a mismatch, please tell us and include evidence so we can investigate.

Coverage and comparison FAQs
Why do I need a postcode? Availability is checked by postcode and address because coverage can vary street by street. A postcode check shows what is live at your address.
Can availability vary within the same street? Yes. Building type, wiring, and network footprint can differ even within one street, so results can change between addresses.
Do you include every UK provider? No. We only include providers with address-level availability and clear terms we can compare. Some providers may not appear.
Why is a local provider missing? Local providers may not publish address-level availability or comparable terms. You can check the provider directly and tell us if you spot a gap.
Are business packages included? Consumer pages focus on consumer packages. Business-only products may appear only in business comparisons.
Is FibreSwitch a provider? No. FibreSwitch is a comparison service, not a broadband provider.
